Kinusaiga patterns for beginners
A first kinusaiga piece should be enjoyable to make. These drawings have broad regions and few details. Each pattern has free A4 and US Letter PDF downloads at its suggested size, plus a custom-size print tool. We still recommend a sample print because the designs have not been fabric-tested.
How we pick "beginner"
- Large, closed regions. The drawings avoid many thin bands and sharp inner corners at their suggested size.
- A size warning. The tool warns below a provisional minimum and highlights annotated tight details. We will refine these values after hands-on builds with real fabric.
- Few regions, clear order. Numbered regions and a suggested working order, so you always know what to tuck next.
Your first pattern
One recommendation, not a wall of choices: Stacked Arches.

Second piece, once you're confident
These add smaller or pointed regions. Try them on a larger board first; the size tool highlights annotated tight areas if you go smaller.
